Why Tea Bags
Traditionally, tea bags are small, porous pouches containing dried leaves, flowers, or aromatic herbs that are infused into hot or boiling water during brewing. A variety of teas can be brewed in tea bags, including true teas and herbal teas.
White tea, green tea, yellow tea, oolong tea, pu-erh tea, and black tea are all true teas made from leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. Ginger tea, apple tea, and chamomile tea are popular herbal teas from other plants.
There are also tea bags available for popular tea blends such as Earl Grey, raspberry green tea, and masala chai tea.
Using tea bags makes brewing tea faster and easier because they are convenient and no mess. In general, newcomers to tea tend to prefer them, while tea masters commonly dismiss them as inferior.
